Lisa Leslie

Lisa Leslie was recruited by USC her senior year of high school for her outstanding skills in basketball - she was one of the best high school female basketball players in the country. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Annenberg’s School of Communications and Journalism. She then furthered her education at the University of Phoenix where she received her Masters in Business Administration. Leslie earned various awards while playing on USC’s women's basketball team which includes Rookie of the Year and All-PAC. She also was awarded the National Player of the Year her senior year.


She joined the LA Sparks team of the WNBA in 1997 and during her duration in the WNBA, won multiple MVP awards, including two championships. She continuously set new records for women in basketball. Leslie also played for the team USA at the Olympics. She has won 8 gold medals and 1 bronze. After retiring in 2009, Lisa Leslie published her very own autobiography called Don’t Let the Lipstick Fool You and founded the Lisa Leslie Basketball Leadership Academy, which strives to help and inspire future basketball players.
