Simone is a senior studying Global Health and Human Sciences, originally from Maryland. She was the 2020 president of USC’s chapter of Alpha Phi. Besides being the president of Alpha Phi, she used to be the chapter’s Panhellenic Delegate. For her, the most important part of being an Alpha Phi is firstly, the people that she has met and the lifelong friendships she's made but also how much she has grown, saying: "being in a leadership position helped me gain much more confidence in myself.” Her responsibilities as president are "a lot of behind the scenes things that my E-Board and I have to make sure that are operating as they should be. I have to make sure that I am always there for everyone and tell them to reach out if they need me. I am there for everyone and I want everyone to be safe and have a safe experience.” She described her priorities as a leader as understanding to all of her sisters while creating a safe space for them.
Her future plans for Alpha Phi are to continue working to make the house and USC’s chapter a welcoming people for all by doing things such as redirecting their philanthropy to be more involved with the surrounding community. Her advice to girls thinking about rushing is to “be your authentic self because it will take you so much further in the process and try to go in with an open mind. Have fun and don’t take it too seriously." Additionally, her advice to future Trojans is to "get involved in a lot of organizations and clubs. Don’ t be afraid to put yourself out there in order meet new people.”
Some fun facts about Simone are that she used to be a competitive cheerleader, her favorite dessert is Salt & Straw Ice Cream, and her dream job would be to be a judge on America's Got Talent or the X Factor!
